This radio station is about preserving Appalachian mountain music. I play the songs of only unsigned bands, wherever they're based. A band must be a string-band playing bluegrass or old time music and can not be associated with a major record label.

In addition to a random playlist, I produce several special radio shows. Links to the shows are on the left. My weekly one-hour Bluegrass and Old time Music Radio Show is broadcast every Saturday and is available as a podcast. Click the Podcasts button for more info. Bands that join my coop are given featured one-hour plays. When a new band is added, all songs on one album are played for at least one hour before being added to the random play list. My blog supports the station with articles written for listeners as well as bands members. Links to the band's websites and CDs are provided.
